Recovery Walks! 2024

Thanks to all who joined in Recovery Walks! 2024 We are grateful to every one who participated in Recovery Walks! 2024. We’re grateful for your support of individuals seeking recovery and for helping make this year’s Walk!  a joyful celebration of Recovery at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia.   

As we celebrated Recovery Walks! and all of Recovery Month, we reflected on how grateful we are for what this walk has meant to our community. The events, conversations and connections we made throughout the month allowed us to connect in meaningful ways, celebrating at the Capitol in Harrisburg, at the Elmwood Park Zoo, and we hope you had the chance to see our Recovery Month message shining bright from the PECO Crown Lights throughout the month.  

Recovery Month was a celebration of all the individuals and families who have been able to experience the rewards of recovery and to help us enact our vision of Transforming Lives Through Sustained Recovery.  We are grateful to our sponsors, especially our Grand Sponsor, Philadelphia’s Department of Behavioral Health and disAbility Services, our Gold Sponsor Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission, Inc. as well as for the men and women who volunteered, who walked with us, who made their own gifts, and those who shared their recovery stories throughout the month, and inspired others as they did so.   PRO-ACT will continue to fight to reduce stigma, educate the public that recovery is possible for all, advocate to remove barriers to recovery, and provide support for individuals and families seeking to access and sustain long-term recovery.
