Created in 1975, as the Bucks County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, The Council of Southeast PA, Inc. has provided almost fifty years of innovative programming that has grown to include prevention, training, intervention and outpatient treatment and recovery support services across Greater Philadelphia.

Those services have touched tens of thousands of lives, created innovative program models that have changed the way we understand and celebrate recovery, and engaged community partners in implementing collaborative programs that break down stigma and create new opportunities to foster a culture of recovery.

Currently, our 80+ staff members work in eight counties, five hospitals, eleven school districts and 3 independent schools in Bucks County, and 10 schools in Philadelphia.

"PRO-ACT has been a huge help to my recovery. It also feels good to be able to give back and help other people by volunteering at the center. I love it here; I feel at home."
